Sourced from the estate of the late Oklahoma artist Clair Seglam. An airforce man for most of his life, Seglem only began painting after his retirement. Most known for his vibrant portraits and nudes, he completed a vast portfolio of work before he died in 2020.
This piece is part of a collection that was found in one of his old sketchbooks. It was hidden away in our warehouse when we happened upon it during inventory one day. To our surprise, the notebook held a jewel box of unseen work.
This piece is in green, and on watercolor paper. It features a woman reclining on an emerald green background. This piece is unsigned, however a few of the other pieces in the sketchbook were. This piece will bring a wonderful pop of color to any space.
