Striking pair of vintage oxblood ceramic table lamps featuring richly colored glazed bodies, polished brass bases and fittings, and classic ivory pleated shades.
The lamps are distinguished by their exceptionally beautiful glaze—a deep, saturated oxblood hue that shifts between burgundy, garnet, aubergine and wine depending upon the light. The restrained urn-form ceramic bodies are mounted on substantial circular brass bases, with coordinating brass necks and traditional harp fittings.

Oxblood, historically also associated with the French term sang-de-boeuf, refers to the celebrated family of deep red ceramic glazes prized for their rich, complex coloration.
