Sourced from the estate of the late Oklahoma artist Clair Seglam. An airforce man for most of his life, Seglem only began painting after his retirement. Most known for his vibrant portraits and nudes, he completed a vast portfolio of work before he died in 2020.

This piece is part of a collection found in one of his old sketchbooks. It was hidden in our warehouse when we happened upon it during inventory one day. To our surprise, the notebook held a jewel box of unseen work.

This piece is a large portrait of a man who resembles Colonel Sanders. (Perhaps the long-lost brother?) He has long flowing gray hair and a matching beard and eyebrows. He wears a bright blue coat with a thin black tie over a white shirt. This piece is one of only a few signed in the sketchbook. It reads "CS" on the bottom right in red.
